How to Find Saved Reels on Facebook, Liked Ones and Your History

There are two places a reel can go after you see it, and most lost reels are in the one people don't check.

Updated October 2026

How to find saved reels on Facebook: open the menu (the three lines or your profile picture, depending on your app) and tap Saved. Every reel you bookmarked is listed there with the posts and videos you saved, and you can sort them into collections. Reels you only watched or liked aren't in Saved; those are in your Activity log.

That split explains most searches for a missing reel. Saved only holds what you deliberately saved. Everything else you did with a reel, watching it, liking it, commenting, is recorded somewhere else, and Facebook keeps that record for you even when you never meant to keep the reel.

The part most guides skip

Facebook has two separate memories for reels. Saved is a list you build on purpose: tap the save option on a reel and it goes there, alongside saved posts, links and videos. Your Activity log is a record Facebook builds automatically: what you've watched, liked, commented on and shared while signed in.

Knowing which memory you need saves the scrolling. If you tapped Save, the reel is in Saved. If you only watched it, look in your Activity log under the videos you've watched. If you liked it, the like is in your Activity log with your other interactions.

The steps below describe the Facebook app as of October 2026. Meta moves menu labels between app versions and between phones and desktop, so if a name differs slightly on your screen, look for the same place under the menu. And if the reel was one of your own, its public view count is on the reel itself, the number Facebook video views adds to for public videos and Reels.

Where do saved reels go on Facebook?

Into Saved, which you reach from the main menu. In the app:

1. Tap the menu: the three lines, or your profile picture at the top or bottom right, depending on your version.

2. Tap Saved. If it isn't in the first group of shortcuts, tap See more.

3. Your saved items are listed newest first. Reels appear with a video thumbnail; use the filter or the search at the top to narrow the list if you've saved a lot.

On a computer, Saved is in the left-hand menu of your Feed, or at facebook.com/saved.

Saved items can be sorted into collections, which you create from the Saved screen or at the moment you save something. A reel you put in a collection still appears under Saved, inside that collection.

How do you find reels you liked on Facebook?

In your Activity log, not in Saved. A like is an interaction, and Facebook files interactions there.

1. Open your profile and tap the three dots next to Edit profile.

2. Tap Activity log.

3. Open the section for your interactions, then likes and reactions.

4. Filter by date if you remember roughly when you liked it.

The list includes reels, posts and comments you reacted to, with a link back to each. If you want a reel to be easy to find next time, save it as well as liking it; a like is a reaction to the creator, a save is a bookmark for you.

How do you see your reels history?

Also in the Activity log, which keeps a list of the videos you've watched while signed in. Open your profile, tap the three dots, tap Activity log, and look for videos you've watched. Reels you played appear there with other videos, newest first.

That list is the one to check when a reel scrolled past and you didn't save, like or comment on it. It's private to you, and you can clear it from the same screen if you'd rather not keep a watch history.

If the reel isn't there either, you may have watched it while signed out, or the creator has deleted it or changed who can see it. A reel that's no longer available disappears from your history and from Saved alike.

Can people see what you save on Facebook?

No. Your Saved area is visible only to you, whether your account is public or private, and saving a reel doesn't notify the person who posted it. The creator doesn't get a list of who saved their reel.

Collections are the one exception you control. Facebook lets you share a collection or add contributors to it, and anything in a shared collection is visible to the people you shared it with. A collection you never shared stays private.

The same privacy applies to your watch history in the Activity log. Other people can see your public likes and comments on public content, because those appear on the reel itself, but the list of reels you watched is yours. Who viewed your Facebook video covers the creator's side: what they can and can't see about who watched.

How do you unsave a reel?

Two ways, depending on where you are.

From Saved: open Saved, find the reel, tap the three dots next to it and choose Unsave. It leaves Saved and any collection it was in.

From the reel itself: open the reel, tap the three dots or the save option again, and choose Unsave. The bookmark clears and the reel leaves your Saved list.

Unsaving doesn't affect anything else: your like stays if you liked it, and the reel stays in your watch history. To remove a reel from a collection while keeping it in Saved, open the collection and remove it there instead.

Do saved reels expire?

Facebook doesn't put an expiry date on saved items, so a reel stays in Saved until you remove it. What can make one vanish is the reel itself: if the creator deletes it, archives it, or narrows its audience so you're no longer allowed to see it, the saved entry stops working or disappears.

There's no way to keep a copy through Saved. If a reel matters to you, a link sent to yourself is as permanent as the reel, and no more. For your own reels, keep the original file; how to make a reel on Facebook covers posting and reusing one.

What does a save tell the person who posted the reel?

Nothing personal, and nothing public. A save isn't shown under the reel the way likes, comments and shares are, so other viewers never see a saved count.

What viewers do see is the play count, the likes and the comments. On a new reel, those are the numbers that decide whether a stranger keeps watching. That's why creators watch them in the first hours and why some add Facebook video views to a public Reel: it raises the view count shown on the reel, using only its link, without changing who Facebook shows it to. What counts as a Facebook video view explains that number, and every Facebook service is on the Facebook page.

Questions people ask about saved Facebook reels

Where are my saved reels on Facebook?

In Saved. Open the main menu, the three lines or your profile picture depending on your app, and tap Saved; on a computer, use the left menu or facebook.com/saved.

Why can't I find a reel I saved on Facebook?

The creator may have deleted it or limited who can see it, which removes it from your Saved list. If you only watched or liked it, check your Activity log instead.

How do I find a reel I watched but didn't save?

Open your profile, tap the three dots, tap Activity log and look under videos you've watched. Reels you played while signed in are listed there, newest first.

Does Facebook notify someone when I save their reel?

No. Saving is private, and the creator doesn't get a list of who saved it. Only collections you share are visible to others.

Can I organize saved reels into folders?

Yes. Facebook calls them collections. Create one from the Saved screen or when you save a reel, and move saved items into it later.

Do saved reels on Facebook ever disappear?

Not on a timer. A saved reel stays until you unsave it, unless the creator deletes it or restricts its audience.
