Before you choose
X made view counts public on every post, and that changed which number matters. On most platforms views are a private analytics figure; here anyone scrolling past reads them next to the replies and reposts. A post with high views and no replies tells a story, and so does the reverse.
The account and the post are separate targets. Followers move the profile as a whole and are ordered against your handle. Likes, retweets and views move one post and are ordered against that post's URL.
Retweets deserve their own thought. A retweet puts your post into someone else's timeline, which is a distribution action rather than an approval one. It is the metric on X that most directly moves reach, and it is also the most visible: it sits in the same row as the likes, where everyone can compare the two.
The pairing is what people actually read. A post with a thousand views and one like reads as promoted. A post with a thousand views and forty likes reads as a post that worked. If you are ordering more than one service, order them in proportion to each other rather than maxing out a single line.
