How to Repost on TikTok, Who Sees It, and How to Undo a Repost
A TikTok repost doesn't make a new video. It pushes someone else's video to the people who follow you, with your name on the recommendation, and every view still belongs to the original creator.
Here's how to repost on TikTok: open the video, tap the Share arrow on the right side of the screen, and tap Repost in the share panel. That's all. To undo it, tap the Share arrow on the same video again and choose Remove repost. You can only repost other people's videos, and only if the video allows it.
A repost isn't a copy. The video stays on the original creator's account, and TikTok shows it to people connected to you with a label saying you reposted it. It also lands in a Reposts tab on your profile. Every view, like and comment it collects is counted on the original video, not on your account.

How do you repost on TikTok, step by step?
The same steps work on iPhone and Android in current versions of the app:
- Open the video you want to repost, in the For You feed, Following, search or on a profile.
- Tap the Share arrow on the right side of the screen.
- Tap Repost in the share panel. A small confirmation appears, and the Repost option changes to Remove repost.
- To check it worked, open your profile and look for the Reposts tab, where the video now appears.

Partially. TikTok may notify you in your inbox activity when someone reposts your video, depending on your notification settings and app version, but there's no screen that lists everyone who reposted a video. A repost from a private account is visible only to that account's followers, so you won't necessarily see it at all.
