How to See Your Follow Age on Twitch
Twitch records the moment of every follow. Who is allowed to read that timestamp has narrowed, and the chat bot in the channel is now the easiest way in.
How to see my follow age on Twitch, as a viewer: the most reliable way now is a followage command in the channel's chat, if the channel runs a bot that supports one. Type the command the channel uses, commonly !followage, and the bot replies with how long you have followed. Twitch itself no longer shows the Following since line on viewer cards to ordinary viewers; it recently limited that to the streamer and the channel's moderators.
As a streamer, you have the full picture. Your Creator Dashboard lists every follower with the date they followed, and in your own channel, you and your moderators still see Following since on a user's card in chat and in Mod View. The data has not gone anywhere. Twitch keeps the timestamp of every follow; what changed is who is allowed to read it.
The timestamp behind follow age is stored by Twitch for every follow, and it is the only piece of follower data that routinely surfaces in chat. The interesting part is how. A bot answering !followage is not guessing and not scraping a page. It asks Twitch's API for the follow date, and the API only answers that question for a caller authorized by the channel itself, with a moderator-level permission to read the channel's followers. The bot has that permission because the streamer granted it when setting the bot up.
That is why the same question gets different answers depending on who asks. A bot inside the channel can print your follow date. A public website outside the channel, with no authorization from that streamer, cannot read the list of followers or their dates at all; Twitch closed that off when it restricted follower data to the channel's owner and moderators. Sites that still claim to look up anyone's follow age for any channel are either working from old data or asking you to authorize them against your own account.
Twitch then went one step further and took Following since off the viewer cards that ordinary viewers see, keeping it for the streamer and moderators. Twitch's community team said publicly that the data was being scraped to make viewbots look more convincing. So the date is still there, and still visible to the channel's own team, but a curious viewer now has to ask the channel's bot.
How do I check my follow age on a Twitch channel?
Try the chat command first. Many channels run a moderation or loyalty bot with a followage command, and !followage is the most common name for it. If the channel's bot supports it, the reply tells you how long you have followed, sometimes with the exact date.
If nothing answers, the channel either does not run a bot or has not enabled the command. Check the channel's panels or its commands list, which some channels post, before assuming the date cannot be found.
For your own records across every channel you follow, Twitch's API allows an application you authorize to read the channels your account follows, with the date of each follow. A tool that asks for that permission is reading your own data, which is legitimate. A tool that claims to show the follow ages of other people on other channels without the channel's permission is not reading anything Twitch still provides.
Why doesn't my viewer card show Following since anymore?
Because Twitch removed it from the general view. Ordinary viewers used to be able to click a username in chat and see when that person followed the channel. Twitch has limited that line to the channel's broadcaster and moderators, who can still see it in their own channel through the viewer card, Mod View or the Creator Dashboard.
The reason Twitch's community team gave was abuse: the follow dates were being collected at scale and used to make automated viewer accounts look like long-standing followers. How to check followers on Twitch as a streamer
Open the Creator Dashboard and go to the community section, then followers. The list shows each follower's name and the date they followed, and it can be sorted. Sorting by date shows when your growth happened, which you can line up against what you streamed that week.

How to view followers on Twitch mobile
The mobile app does not expose the full follower list as reliably as the web Creator Dashboard does. If you cannot find it in the app, open the Creator Dashboard in your phone's browser, using the desktop version of the site if the mobile page hides the section. The list and the dates are the same data either way.
How to know if someone follows you on Twitch
Search for their name in your follower list in the Creator Dashboard, or click their name in your chat and read their card, which shows you whether and since when they follow. Both work only for your own channel.
There is no notification that tells you a specific person has stopped following, and Twitch does not provide an unfollow list. What follow age is actually used for
Most channels use it for recognition and for gating. Recognition is the friendly part: a bot that prints how long someone has followed makes long-time viewers visible in chat, which regulars appreciate. Some channels run giveaways that require a minimum follow age, so that people cannot follow a minute before a draw and leave after it.
Gating is the moderation part, and Twitch builds it in directly. Follower-only chat takes a duration, so you can require that someone has followed for ten minutes, a day or longer before they can type. Follow age, follower count and what visitors see
Follow age is private-ish data: visible to the channel's team and to the follower through the bot. The follower total, by contrast, is public on the channel page, and it is the figure a first-time visitor reads before deciding to stay.
Those are separate levers. The total is what Twitch followers change, and it is the number on the page, nothing more. A new follower of any kind starts with a follow age of zero, so a follower-only chat with a duration keeps every recent follower out of chat until the clock runs, whoever they are.
