Why Can't I See My Spotify Wrapped

Six causes, and five of them are fixable in under a minute. The sixth is the one nobody wants to hear.

Updated October 2026

Check these in order: the app is up to date, you are on a phone rather than a desktop, you are signed into the right account and profile, the rollout has reached you, and your account has enough listening in the year to qualify.

Wrapped is mobile-first, so a desktop app usually shows nothing even when it is live.

Accounts created late in the year, or used very little, are excluded by the minimum-listening rule, which is the one cause with no fix.

The part most guides skip

The minimum-listening rule is the cause people rule out last and should rule out first, because it explains most permanent absences.

Spotify builds Wrapped from a year of behavior. An account with a handful of plays has nothing to summarize, so it is excluded rather than given an empty experience. The threshold is not published, which means nobody can tell you exactly how much is enough, and it catches accounts created in the second half of the year particularly often.

The second structural cause is the profile. On a family or duo plan, every profile has its own Wrapped built from its own listening. Somebody who mostly listens on a shared device, or on another household member's profile, finds their own Wrapped thin or missing while the data sits elsewhere.

Everything else is mechanical and quick: an outdated app, a desktop client, a cached session, a staged rollout that has not reached the account, or a region where the campaign launches later.

The diagnostic order matters because each check takes seconds and the last one is the only one that cannot be solved by waiting.

The quick checks

Update the app. Wrapped is delivered through app versions as much as through the account.

Open it on a phone. The desktop client is usually not where the experience lives.

Confirm the account: an old free account signed in on a second device is a common surprise.

Sign out and back in to refresh the session, which resolves a surprising share of missing banners.

The rollout

Wrapped does not appear everywhere at once. It rolls out over hours and sometimes staggers by region.

Friends having it is not evidence that your account is broken.

Social posts about Wrapped tend to precede the general availability by a few hours, because of early access given to some accounts.

Waiting a day is a legitimate step before troubleshooting anything else.

The eligibility rule

Accounts need a minimum amount of listening across the year, and the threshold is not published.

An account created in the second half of the year frequently misses it.

Listening on a device signed into somebody else's account does not count toward yours.

There is no appeal and no way to generate a Wrapped for an account that did not qualify.

Profiles and shared accounts

Family and duo plans give each profile a separate Wrapped.

Sharing one account among several people produces a single blended Wrapped, which is why it can look like somebody else's taste.

Moving to your own profile fixes it for next year, not for this one.

Spotify does not split historical listening between profiles after the fact.

Seeing your statistics anyway

The app's top artists and tracks lists are available year-round, with short, medium and long-term ranges.

They are not Wrapped and will not match it, but they answer the same curiosity.

Third-party services built on the API offer continuous statistics and require account access.

Artists have Spotify for Artists, which is live all year and far more detailed.

Questions people ask about a missing Wrapped

Why is Wrapped not showing on my account?

Most often an old app version, a desktop client, the wrong profile, a staged rollout, or not enough listening to qualify.

How much listening do I need for Wrapped?

Spotify requires a minimum and does not publish the number. Accounts created late in the year are the ones most often excluded.

Can I see Wrapped on a desktop?

It is built for the phone app. Some editions have had a web page, but the mobile app is the reliable route.

Does each family profile get its own Wrapped?

Yes. Each profile's Wrapped reflects that profile's listening, which is why shared accounts produce odd results.

My friends have it and I do not. What now?

Update the app, confirm the account, and wait a day. The rollout is staged and not simultaneous.

Can I get a Wrapped for a previous year?

No. The experience is temporary. Only the playlists it generated remain in your library.
